MILAN

Milan is the largest city in the North of Italy. We chose this as the location for our wedding because of the elegance and excitement this city has to offer as well as the convenience for our guests who will be arriving from the US. There is a large international airport to fly into and plenty of public transportation. You can take the metro to different districts and you can use Uber and walk the city easily. Whether you plan to travel to Milan the weekend leading up to the wedding or if you want to take advantage of the Monday before, we wanted to offer some information to help you plan.

Milan Cathedral

This is a must-see. One of the most detailed cathedrals in Europe, with options for tours or just a walk through.

Sforza Castle

This castle is easy to walk to from the Cathedral. It's something to see on a nice sunny day because of the garden attached.

Lake Como

The lake district is about one hour north of Milan. You can take a train from the Milan station to Como and enjoy a boat ride or quiet walk around this gorgeous area.

The Last Supper

The painting of The Last Supper can be found in the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. You need a ticket to enter so book in advance!

Accommodation

There are so many options for B&Bs in or around Milan. The wedding will be in Arcore, just above Monza. Both towns are easily accessible by public transport so they are also good options for accommodation. You can choose a B&B or hotel anywhere in Milan.

Transportation

You can take the metro or train from the gorgeous central station in Milan. We recommend you download the app CityMapper which will show you all the ways to get to your location including walking routes.
